Soda’s Tequila Shooter was our first German Shorthaired Pointer and he really lit the fuse.  We lived in Harbor City California and became very involved with the NAVHDA folks. Shooter was an exceptional dog with all the qualities of a great versatile dog. He was tested in the Natural Ability test and scored a prize II.  6 months later he scored a Prize II in the Utility Test and ultimately became the first dog in North America to make a perfect score of 204 Points in the Utility Test (under the judgement of Bobo Winterhelt and others at Ione California). We hunted 36 species of upland game and waterfowl together and learned what is possible with hard work.  We helped found the Southwest NSTRA Region in 1983 and he became one of the first Champions as well as a Regional Championship winner.
